@VioletEyedDragon: It's poisonous because there is a great community of users on here that just want to talk about movies, but you repeatedly make outlandish remarks that are often hypocritical, or come from your own wild assumptions based on pre-conceived notions, that completely derail discussions because everyone focuses on debating your wild comment instead of the topic at hand.
If you had an issue over a film that actually has merit then I would have no problem with you spreading your views. It's just the only thing anyone except the filmmakers know about this film is that it is about a guy in the 50s who starts a religion. You condemning it before seeing it and assuming that it will be disrespectful and prejudiced based on your preconceived notions is prejudice in itself. That's my problem. That's what makes you a hypocrite. That is why I find your discussion points to be poisonous.
