@ox: I saw it when it was still underground, you probably hadn't heard of it.

Tales from Earthsea was pretty terrible. Here's hoping this Miyazaki-less joint is better.

Ah, such sweet music. I think this is the UK trailer, right? I heard there will be separate English-language dubs for the UK and the USA. I saw the movie in Hong Kong and it was a beautiful and pleasant time in the theater. Also, Arrietty has a dress pin for a sword!

I really hope this is good and takes, as it seems like Miyazaki's son isn't going to be the future of the studio and this looks WAY more interesting than Tales from Earthsea already. Someone's gotta take up the mantle, Miyazaki isn't getting any younger.

Mark Strong's not in the Disney version. The movie looks great  though.

Saw it recently at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Absolutely adorable take on a classic tale. As a Brit of about the right age I vaguely remember the early 90s BBC TV adaptation and haven't seen the live action film. I'll probably see it again when it comes out on general release since I saw the Japanese version and although I usually hate dubbing the Ghibli dubs are usually pretty awesome.

Wow - the narrator sounds like a lion.

Agree with everyone else, it looks really nice but this is the third Ghibli film that isn't original content. I know Miyazaki is getting old but I would love to see him do at least one more orginal title.

I hope the American dub turns out well.  I'm so excited for this movie!

... The narrator's kinda freaking me out, though.
