I sort of hate the borrowers, so not looking forward to this one too much. I guess I'll end up seeing it anyway.

Worth seeing for the beauty of it even if you're not a jerk with the slightest interest in any kind of anime. Had to take breaks watching it to digest the smörgåsbord of gorgeous design jammed into my eyes every second of it. Much like the Disney classics of the hand-drawn past, every single frame is a work of art.

Bring tissues.

Has a very good story, much better take on the original borrowers book than any other adaptation so far. Also, it's beautiful as every Miyazaki movie is. So glad Studio Ghibli exists.

I'm a huge Ghibli fan but I didn't quite get the right vibe from the trailer... I think it's the lack of Hisaishi's music that's taking away the magic

I really enjoyed it. Extremely beautiful movie and a touching story. Strongly recommended.

I watched the UK series of the Boirrowers when it first aired. I liked it...

@Rorie: This was the calmest movie I've ever seen (Watched it today (UK)). It's just called Arrietty. Not Arrietty the borrower.
get's a 2/2 from me

The english dubs are great. Sometimes quite funny. Especially Haru "...... hm uhuhn hnhnrem ru *clears throat* suubbb hummmm"
Absolutely fantastic.
