The season six two-parter "Who Shot Mr. Burns" is a reference to the cliffhanger in the Dallas episode "A House Divided" more commonly known as "Who Shot J.R.?"
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
Based on the Archie comics of the same name, Melissa Joan Hart stars as the titular Sabrina. Sabrina lives with her two aunts Hilda and Zelda (who are also witches) and her talking cat Salem. She must live a normal teenage life while keeping her magic powers under wraps.
During a town meeting, Selma proposes that Springfield changes its name to Seinfeld. A sound alike of the Seinfeld theme then plays.
In episode 6.18, 'A Star is Burns', the main character from The Critic, Jay Sherman, appears as a judge in a film festival being held in Springfield. Matt Groening opposed the episode as he thought it played like an advertisement for The Critic (which was executive produced by James L. Brooks) and tarnished the image of The Simpsons. His name does not appear in the credits for the episode. Jay Sherman is also seen in the episodes 'Hurricane Neddy' and 'The Ziff Who Came to Dinner'.
The entire opening of the season 4 episode "Marge vs. the Monorail" is a reference to the opening of The Flintstones cartoon.
The New Adventures of Wonder Woman
Episode 7.1 (second part of "Who Shot Mr. Burns?") spoofs TP episode 1.3's backwards-talking dream sequence.
