I can't help but see a similarity here. The text over the objects, the bars on the right, the "I'm about to be punched in the face" look of Jesse. I wonder if this is one of those little references that Fincher likes to do, but one that everyone missed. Thoughts?

Both have a little bar on the side, but that's about it. Different color schemes, different images, and the text on the Social Network poster is much larger and more invasive. 
 
POINTLESS ANECDOTE: When I first saw the Fight Club cover I thought it was a drawing. When I got it in my hands it became apparent that it was an actual fist.

Maybe someone in the marketing department took great inspiration from the Fight Club cover... but the facebook bar on the right always confused me. As soon as I saw the cover of Fight Club in the recent Under the Influence, I instantly connected the two (specifically the bar).

Uh.. it's definitely not. I think you're seeing things dude. Pretty sure the social network cover was more informed by Facebook than that fight club cover.
