Tom Ripley is a bit of a screw up, but manages to fool someone into sending him to convince playboy Dickie Greenleaf to return home from Italy. After this eventually fails, Ripley conducts a very extreme plan to make Greenleaf's luxuries his own and keep them no matter the cost.
