It's not getting bad reviews!

Well, considering I find old slapstick comedy, like Stooges or Chaplin, about as funny as brain cancer, I think I'll pass regardless.

Hmm...

I have a bunch of free movie tickets so I guess seeing this wouldn't be the worse way to use one of em?

Shocked, man.

@csl316:

No but it's the best either, it was somewhere in the middle.

Take from someone who's seen it, it's not bad but it's not laugh out loud funny.

I'm impressed that this movie has become a success at the box-office. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it.

So I actually went to see The Three Stooges this past weekend and I believe it is a perfect candidate for a 'Half-Good' feature. You can almost draw a line between the two distinct parts, the old school slapstick (which still works) and the new school pee jokes and pop culture references (which never worked).

@Tangeu:

What are you talking about? I laughed my ass of at that Karsdashian joke, and most everyone I know thinks that the Jersey Shore gag was one of the best parts of the film.

@Moviemaniac: That's funny, the theater I was in was absolutely silent during those parts, yet cracking up at the throwback slapstick. (full disclaimer: I went on sunday morning with a crowd skewing a bit older) Personally I thought the best part was the doughnut remover scene and them attempting to wake her up afterwards, I was in stitches ^_^

My audience reacted the same way. I didn't (and nobody else did) laugh at the Kardashian joke or any of the scenes featuring the Jersey Shore crew. However when it came to the doughnut remover scene, everyone in the audience was cracking up. That was my favorite gag in the film and one of my favorites from the original stooge shorts. That said I thought the film was pretty unfunny and could have been done so much better.I t should have been a B&W period piece set in the '30s.

Justin McElroy RAVED about it on the latest MBMBaM. Which is the only recommendation I need.
