Set in Boston, a group of Bank robbers keep escalating their heists and the FBI are hot on their trail. However, things get complicated as Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) gets caught up in a romance with a former hostage.
Trivia:

Halo 3 can be seen being played.

Reference: The Friends of Eddie Coyle

Both Boston set crime dramas, the scene in which Rebecca Hall's character is forced to march blind-folded until she the water is a direct reference to a very similar scene in Eddie Coyle.

The Town is a 2010 crime thriller directed by Ben Affleck and is adapted from Chuck Hogan's novel Prince of Thieves. The film is set in Boston, Massachusetts and follows the story of a group of bank robbers who find themselves increasingly chased by the FBI amidst a romance between Doug MacRay (Affleck) and Claire Keesey ( Rebecca Hall).
