The Undertaker is a WWE superstar who has been competing in the ring for over 20 years. He is undefeated at WrestleMania and is arguably one of the most recognizable and greatest Superstars in the history of the WWE .
The Undertaker's made his official on-camera debut in the WWE on November 22 during the 1990 Survivor Series, wrestling as the mystery partner and ringer of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase's "Million Dollar Team." In this first match, he eliminated Koko B. Ware in a minute using his patented Tombstone Piledriver finisher, but was disqualified soon after eliminating Dusty Rhodes due to a count out. His first year in the WWE saw him win his first Wrestlemania match against "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, kicking off his legendary 'streak' at Wrestlemania, and feuding with Superstars such as the Ultimate Warrior, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Sid Justice, Sgt. Slaughter, and Hulk Hogan, with his first year culminating with his defeat of Hogan for his first WWE Championship.
After losing a Casket Match to Yokozuna at the 1994 Royal Rumble, The Undertaker returned at Summerslam the same year, defecting a fake Undertaker portrayed by Brian Lee. The Undertaker's 'half-brother' Kane was introduced in a feud that culminated with the first ever Inferno Match at Unforgiven: In Your House 1998 that The Undertaker won by setting Kane on fire. The Undertaker wrestled Mankind in a Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring 1998, a match famous for the damage to Mankind, including being thrown off the top of the cell and being chokeslammed through the cell. The Undertaker created the Ministry of Darkness in 1999, which later aligned itself with Vince McMahon to become the Corporate Ministry. A combination of a groin injury and a torn pectoral muscle kept him out of the ring from September 1999 until May 2000, where he returned under a new "American Badass" persona, along with a new biker look.
As the "American Badass", Undertaker feuded with Triple H, Vince McMahon, Kurt Angle, Diamond Dallas Page, The Rock, Ric Flair, Big Show, and Brock Lesnar. The Undertaker fought in a Buried Alive Match against Vince McMahon at Survivor Series 2003, which he lost when Kane interfered. This led to the return of The Undertaker in his old persona at Wrestlemania XX, where he defeated Kane. The Undertaker won his first World Heavyweight Championship by beating Batista at Wrestlemania 23. In 2009 he began a feud with Shawn Michaels that ended at Wrestlemania 26 with a "Streak vs. Career" match where Michaels was forced to retire. At Wrestlemania 27, he defeated Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match to bring his Wrestlemania win streak up to 19-0.
WWE Accomplishments
The Undertaker has never lost at WrestleMania. At 21-0, it will likely never be replicated and is considered one of the greatest winning streaks in all of sports, despite wrestling being pre-determined.
