What Did Jenner Whisper? (Spoilers)

In the season 1 finale, after Dr. Jenner opens the doors and allows the survivors to leave, he is shown whispering something into Rick's ear. This thread is dedicated to theories about what Jenner said.

Here's my theory: Since it was a big deal in the comic series, I believe Jenner told Rick that Lori was pregnant. Why? Well, when the survivors entered the CDC, Jenner had them all take a blood test. A blood test can be used to determine pregnancy by showing hCG levels and can detect pregnancy 7-12 days after conception  (it's science stuff. I looked it p all by myself!)). It would fit given the amount of time that has passed.

Also, when Rick asked about the blood tests, Jenner replied "Nothing surprising". It would not be odd to Jenner for someone's wife to be pregnant and, since he was planning on killing everyone anyway, there was no reason to let Rick know.

Finally, the look on Rick's face indicates that whatever he was told was a BIG DEAL. The emotion portrayed is about what I'd expect from someone being told their wife is pregnant in the middle of the zombie apocalypse.

Thoughts?

So it didn't happen that way in the comics? (I haven't read them yet).  That seems like a great theory either ways.

He probably revealed where he hid all his twinkies at.

@gla55jAw:
Nope. In the comics, Lori just noticed she was pregnant over time. Morning sickess and such. And, in the comics, which will probably come into play in the TV show, it's never really known who the father is, Rick or Shane.

I agree. Pretty much what I thought right away.

Yeah, Ive read all the comics and even though the show has deviated from them quite a bit, I dont think it could have been anything else.  Its such a major story arc in the books that there is no way they could leave it out of the show.

No. It's not quite as Dawn of the Dead-ish.

in my opinion I don't think she is pregnant, we were told by the writers that it wold shock us, and assuming a lot of people who watch this read the comic it wold not shock, I think maybe one of them is carrying the virus strand, and he tells them of a place they can go to make a cure, I just don't think she is pregnant because its not that shocking.

I think the "Lori's pregnant" theory is a really good one. I think another option might be that he told rick they are all infected. I read the comics and in the comics whenever anyone dies, from zombies or not, they become a zombie. And when asked how the test went he didn't say they weren't infected, just that nothing surprising, as in he knew that everyone is infected anyway. That would also explain his not only suicidal tendencies but his total no hope attitude. If everyone is a ticking zombie time bomb what hope is there. Any thoughts?

@JrockJesse: Rick told Hershel himself that there is no cure.

This whisper thing is driving me crazy just like the ending in Lost In Translation.

Spoiler

My theory is its possibly like the comics, and no matter if you get bitten, you'll come back as a zombie when you die.

Based on tonight's episode, I'm going with the theory that he whispered to Rick about people coming back as zombies without actually being bitten or scratched.

@Voxel: Yeah, we saw this happen with the two soldiers when Rick, Shane, and Randall were at the school. Also, twice tonight after Randall was killed, and Shane as well.

@adamwd I barely remember those two soldiers at the school. I guess the revelation hadn't really hit me yet.

Looks like we have a winner here!

As revealed by the season finale I think he whispered that they're all infected tbh.
