According to Indiewire, film executive Will Packer said that last September Sony test screened Think Like a Man twice. The first time, the reaction was 96% positive; the second time 99%. That is the best reaction Sony has ever gotten. There isn't much more information, but this is very interesting. The full article can be found here.

Thank goodness all those women are empowered! I just wish they'd make it more obvious.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate that the audience consisted mostly of women, probably mostly black. Please don't think I'm a racist misogynist, but I just can't see any other way for this film to score so high. Maybe my hatred for the extreme douchiness of that douche from that Marky Mark TV show is blinding me to the brilliance of this film, though.

@Sandor Might be right, but I'd be surprised, though confused, if these were genuinely random test screenings. If that's the case, then color me intrigued.

that is true. it is quite possible they put extra care into ensuring their audience would be the most likely demographic to enjoy the film. still, it is interesting to note.

i think testing screenings are usually not random (just guessing though). but there are probably varying degrees of editing the audience.

I bet this movie will have a 30% range rating on Rotten Tomatoes, regardless of what test screenings said.
