Looks like it could be pretty decent. I especially like Thor's look in that trailer, it's pretty great IMO.

My only problem is if the kiss there is a love interest sub plot I find that stupid. Thor is a God.
One could argue Gods in mythology had love interests too, but I would argue they only did so out of Vanity and it always turned against them from what I recall (i have to apologize, though, im not up on my Nordic Mythology so much).

It still could be good if handled right, and if nothing else a really fun action flick. That's all I'd want it to be anyway.
Bare in mind, though, this is strictly speaking from a person who never read a Thor comic ever and only knowledge of the comic is from a 80s film called Adventures in Babysitting
Think of that what you will =P

Looks much better than I thought it would... Still, I'd much rather Joss Whedon hurry up and get his film out!

I have huge doubts for this, and I don't even read comics. It just doesn't seem directed competently enough, or the script seems junky. Something about it..

I don't know what he needs that hammer for.  He has two growing out of his torso.

I'm sorry, but I think that hammer prop ruins it for me. In illustrative depictions of the character the hammer doesn't seem to stick out as much as it does when realized in the real-world. It looks like a toy. Maybe that's a wrinkle they can iron out through acting and CGI, but so far I find the promotional material pretty laughable.

Can't bloody wait for this movie. Between this and Green Lantern I can already tell next year is gonna rock!

It doesn't look like the worst thing ever. Its hard to get a good read of how the film will be as its the most standard cookie cutter trailer that you could possibly get. I was waiting for blue text to come up on the screen saying 'Blades Will Bleed' or something along those lines. Still, thats a pretty good looking Thor, actor and costume. Not sure about his acting chops though.

I was thinking almost the exact same thing. This movie strikes me as a particularly good example of how ridiculous comic book heroes can appear when put in a realistic setting. Maybe they'll just say "fuck it" and go all out and bring in Beta Ray Bill.

I'm still thinking that this film looks a little too silly for me.

You know, I was kind of worried about this one....I still am in a way....

No Donald Blake? Is he even still canon at this point? k

This trailer maybe has 3-5 seconds of footage that wasn't in the leaked trailer for Comic-Con. And it's three minutes shorter. No big news here. I am looking forward to this movie though, along with Captain America and The Avengers. Everything I've seen and read so far looks fantastic. Marvel seems to be, finally, taking these films seriously.

" The recent run of marvel movies have been pretty good, not spectacular but solid entertainment. They've gained enough goodwill from me to give this a shot. Plus Anthony Hopkins chewing scenery as Odin will be fun enough. "
This.
