 Plot Summary

Kevin (Craig Warnock) is a young boy who leads a dull life in modern England, and spends his time learning about bygone eras of history. Then, one night, a fully armored knight bursts out of his closet and then disappears. Kevin is very confused, until the next night, when a group of dwarves comes out of the same closet, closely pursued by the 'Supreme Being'. Kevin escapes with the dwarves through a mysterious portal, and finds himself  just outside a town being occupied by Napoleon Bonaparte (Ian Holm) himself. After stealing Napoleon's loot, the dwarves explain that they had once been tasked by the Supreme Being with making the parts of the universe that hadn't been done in the first 7 days. They had rebelled, however, and decided to use a special map in their possession to travel throughout time and steal various artifacts, allowing them to become the richest people ever. Kevin agrees to tag along with them, and they proceed to visit different time periods, and meet historical figures such as Robin Hood (John Cleese) and Agamemnon (Sean Connery). However, someone named 'Evil' (David Warner) is pursuing them, as he thinks the map will allow him to rule the world. Eventually, Kevin and his newfound friends arrive in the 'Time of Legends', an alternate universe filled with fantastical creatures such as ogres and giants.  Little do they know that Evil had actually brought them there, so that he could steal the map. The final confrontation pits Evil against all kinds  of soldiers from across time in a battle for control of the map, culminating in the arrival of the Supreme Being himself.
