To Rome with Love (2012)

Edit this Page
3 star rating THE Screened Review by Matthew Marko

Woody Allen’s latest is as charming and neurotic a film as ever, but its collection of short stories are ultimately just light riffs on well-tread ground and hold little for those who aren’t already Allen devotees.

Woody Allen Director previously directed Midnight in Paris

5 separate stories make up this Rome-set comedy.

Trivia:

Woody Allen originally called his film THE BOP DECAMERON, but few understood what that meant. It was changed to NERO FIDDLED, but that title was only understood by US viewers. Finally, the movie was given the name TO ROME WITH LOVE, which is an allusion to the James Bond film FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE.

Reference: From Russia, with Love

The title.
