Here's hoping Hardy has a Bale-like breakdown on McG's set.

If you're like me, you've had a pretty big nonsexual (Or all the way sexual. Pan-sexual.) man crush on Mr. Tom Hardy since Bronson. If you haven't, chances are you at least have since Inception. The British actor is one of the most exciting up-and-comers to emerge in recent years, despite actually having been on the scene since Band of Brothers. Anticipation for what his next moves are is coming hot and heavy right now, and Vulture has a report on one of his upcoming projects.

Hardy has signed on to join Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon in director McG's upcoming action spy rom-com, This Means War. The story involves two BFF spies (Hardy and Pine) who both fall in love with the same woman (The 'spoon) and proceed to fight each other for her, with the fighting escalating on to full blown warfare.

Interestingly, Sam Worthington had previously been eyeballing this role, but eventually passed on it. Hardy is most definitely a trade up from the Ava-star, but I don't know so much that McG is a trade up for Hardy. The music video director of such bands as Korn, Sublime, and Cyprus Hill has had a less than stellar track record on the few big budget features that he's helmed, yet somehow managed to pull in big talent. (see Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation or Bill Murray in Charlie's Angels)

Regardless of how this turns out, Hardy already seems to have exciting prospects in the pipeline, including the lead role in George Miller's next Mad Max film.

I still can't get my mind around the fact that the Tom Hardy in Inception is the same one that was in Star Trek: Nemesis. It just doesn't make any sense...

But I think McG is a producer or the like on Supernatural, so it's not like he's only been involved with shit projects or something. Then again, his name is McG, so...

A RomCom? Oh please dear God, do not take away from me Tom Hardy as you took Gerard Butler. Sure, Butler's acting sucked in comparison, but I put 300 on mute anyhow.

McG has big clout in the television industry being and having been producer for successful shows like Supernatural, Chuck, The OC and also those The Pussycat Dolls reality shows.

Now if they could only replace Reese Witherspoon...

Reese Witherspoon annoys me, I really don't like her acting at all.
As for Tom Hardy, I love him ^_^ I'm British, so I've seen his earlier work in movies and shows etc ..

I'm stoked that Hardy is having no trouble finding work, I've dug him since Black Hawk Down & Star Trek: Nemesis, but he can do better.

After watching Bronson my only desire is to see Tom Hardy punch dudes in the face as much as possible.

@MarkWahlberg:  WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. WHAT? That's Tom Hardy? The dude from Nemesis? I did not know that.

No matter what happens here, it's depressing through virtue of McG though it might be worse for Hardy as he isn't anywhere near as established as Bill Murray, Christian Bale or even Sam Worthington at this point.

After watching RocknRolla my only desire is to see Tom Hardy dance with dudes who are the star as much as possible.

Well this will make the movie better, I don't like McG as a director though.
