It surprises me to some extent, just how well a story about Toys has been made into such superb films. On the other hand, given Pixar's amazing and unbeatable track record, it really should be no surprise at all. The quality of all Pixar films has always been top notch, and Toy Story 3 is yet another stirling example of their quality film making.
What makes Toy Story 3 so truly incredible is the depth of feeling and emotion that the characters draw from the audience. You genuinely care about these characters, despite the absurdity of the setting, it is a true testament to all involved that they have created something so special here.
The movie has warmth, humour and tells a really strong story; it makes good use of the ensemble cast of characters, and it moves along at a good pace. The film also manages to balance the entertainment needs of both children and adults alike, making it a film that resonates on two often quite distinct levels.
Toy Story 3 is as strong a film as the original, it is a fantastic example of a strong third movie in a trilogy, and wraps up their adventures beautifully. This is most definitely a must see film.
