Love that hair!
So now I know the plot ... she will have to go on a quest because she "went for her hand" etc.....
I am super impressed on how the shiny fabric is coming out.
Where's Kevin McKidd? I demand Kevin McKidd!
I'm diggin' it!
C'mon guys, only 4 months until we can all make ill advised sexist jokes.
I'm SO sick of stories that think they're being feminist by having female characters act uncharacteristically bold in times when it wasn't accepted (the useless framing story in Burton's Alice and Wonderland). It's completely unrealistic, and I'd say even an insult to women who persevered through all of those hideous oppressive centuries.
Pixar used to be more creative and subtle than this. :(
now this looks goo....unlike cars 2

Look at Joan or Arc, Queen Elizabeth or Isabella of France. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_warfare_and_the_military_in_the_medieval_era
You are making yourself look bad throwing misogynistic comments around and making unsubstantiated claims.
This does not look like a Pixar movie. Weird.

I have to agree with you. The fact that is does have the Pixar name on it does give me some hope.
Oh man the feather on the arrow leaves a cut on her face! Pixar that is the most badass attention to detail ever!

I saw a movie where a girl went for her hand just last night!
They have the release wiggle. That's awesome.
Looks awesome!
Movie looks amazing.

sigh. Can't communicate on a message board without throwing a needless little insult in there, can we? Anyway...
Of course there were women warriors all throughout history. My point is that the basic concept of a girl boldly bucking sexist tradition is a weak one to base an entire character on (especially when that girl also apparently has super human archery skills). It could be a wonderful story idea, but it all too often becomes the character, rather than having an already deeply developed woman who's behavior is that of overcoming negative expectations.
To me it just screams, "Hey, check out the awesomely rendered hair on this 2 dimensional character", and I expected something more than that. Have to see the final film to really judge, of course.
Awesome, I'm in.
@gangly: that's basically what I thought when I saw the humans in Wall-E.

Yeah, they pretty clearly based it on high-speed footage of actual archery.
