Trailer: Chronicle

What happens when a few asshole teenagers get superpowers instead of the usual self-righteous types? This movie seems like a pretty good indication.

Dig Deeper into Chronicle

Three superpowered teenagers enjoy using their powers for fun; messing around and generally misbehaving, that is until one of them goes too far and doesn't know when to stop. It's not long before the whole city is endangered and bonds are tested.

So at what point in the movie do Bodie and Poot show up and shoot that other kid?

ShadowKnight508on Oct. 20, 2011 at 2:38 p.m.

Looks interesting, but I will reserve my judgement on it until I see or read more about this movie.

This gives me strong Skyline vibe, like they got some talented people together to work on an effects movie for cheap. Hopefully they have more than that.

I don't know if this was actually done on a lower budget and I'm not familiar with the credits of the people who worked on this, that's just how it feels from the trailer.

I am actually pretty interested by this trailer, cool premise too, instead of people gaining superpowers and freaking out about it they seem to be sorta doing shit that teenagers would actually do if they had powers.

I don't get what cinematic method they are going for.   At times it's handheld, other times it looks like traditional movie making.   It doesn't help that the quality of the 'handheld' parts seem to have a professional equipment look to them, and the static looks jarringly fake. :/ Premise looks pretty ok though.

There is a britsh tv show called Misfits, can't help but think that this film is heavily based off it. It's a fantastic show.

This trailer did it's job, I'm intrigued.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This movie looks awesome. Very refreshing premise.

Looks pretty damn interesting. Not sure how I feel about the camera man, found footage way of filming this.

Is the all caps a British accent?

Andrew?!? ANDRRRRREEEEWWWW!

Is that a common thing in trailers? The screaming of a major character's name?

In Social Network it was "MARK?! MAAAAAARK!"

I actually want to see this, looks like that Andrew kid is going to end up the villain

CashBaileyon Oct. 20, 2011 at 5:11 p.m.

I recently heard a podcast interview with Max Landis where he talked this script up constantly.

That guy is not lacking for confidence, I can tell you that.
