This psychotic-looking horror film comes from Phantasm director Don Coscarelli. If that isn't enough to get you hyped, then I don't know what would.

I read the book, that was free on the internets, lets do this.
All I could think was "Who? And what the hell is Phantasm?"
But it's from the director of Bubba Ho-tep, so hey, that gets me more hyped
@UnbreakableVow: Phantasm is a pretty cheesy/awesome film from the late 70's that has to do with FLYING SILVER BALLS OF DEATH. Think the Cerebral Bore from Turok, except more terrifying, and you're halfway there.
Shoving will protect you from the Terrible Secret of Space.
Weird, I read about this film in a Cracked article a while back about strange horror books. They were all so ridiculous I assumed they were invented for the article and didn't actually exist. If this film is anything like the book was described to be then it'll be fucking crazy

Phantasm was great in the 80s but I seriously doubt it holds up all that well.
This looks weird.
@Rorie: Oh, it holds up horribly nowadays. That's why I made sure to write "cheesy/awesome", not just "awesome". I personally feel that it's still worth getting through the horrible bits of the film just to see the Silver Sphere for the first time.
Also: Phantasm was the first film I saw boobs in. So it holds significance for me.
WTF, spoilers jeez.
Just throw in to the Welcome to Weird pile and save us some time. But it do look pretty entertaining I must admit.
This looks crazy, and I like it.
Looks rad. Looking forward to this.
The book is amazing. If you haven't read it yet, please Please do so.
Looks trippy. I can't wait.
Huge fan of the book, still amazed that this is being made.
you can see David Wong's comment regarding the trailer here.(not sure if it's the same one cause I am at work and can't view video)
Meat creatures!
To be honest that does look pretty interesting.
