Trailer: John Dies at the End

This psychotic-looking horror film comes from Phantasm director Don Coscarelli. If that isn't enough to get you hyped, then I don't know what would.

All I could think was "Who? And what the hell is Phantasm?"

But it's from the director of Bubba Ho-tep, so hey, that gets me more hyped

@UnbreakableVow: Phantasm is a pretty cheesy/awesome film from the late 70's that has to do with FLYING SILVER BALLS OF DEATH. Think the Cerebral Bore from Turok, except more terrifying, and you're halfway there.

Shoving will protect you from the Terrible Secret of Space.

Weird, I read about this film in a Cracked article a while back about strange horror books. They were all so ridiculous I assumed they were invented for the article and didn't actually exist. If this film is anything like the book was described to be then it'll be fucking crazy

Phantasm was great in the 80s but I seriously doubt it holds up all that well.

This looks weird.

gelatinabominationon Sept. 26, 2011 at 11:42 a.m.

@Rorie: Oh, it holds up horribly nowadays. That's why I made sure to write "cheesy/awesome", not just "awesome". I personally feel that it's still worth getting through the horrible bits of the film just to see the Silver Sphere for the first time.

Also: Phantasm was the first film I saw boobs in. So it holds significance for me.
