Takeshi Kitano came up with the death scenes in the movie first, then wrote the rest of the film around those entertaining kills. The result is predictably uneven, but you'll be able to find that out for yourselves fairly soon.

Takeshi Kitano returns to the Yakuza genre that made him famous abroad in Outrage, where he plays the captain of a Yakuza crew, Otomo. Under pressure from the leader of his syndicate, Otomo is ordered to destroy a rival crew, leading to consequences that are more than tumultuous.

Beat Takeshi!
Really? This came out in theaters back in April here in Europe.
Decent film, all the bells of whistles of Takeshi
It is a Takeshi Kitano ass Takeshi Kitano yakuza movie, much like his earliest stuff.
I wonder what the total time in a TakeshI film is of him staring at nothing?
Great trailer narration, or GREATEST trailer narration?

Need to see this!
Love Beat Takeshi. Can't wait for this.
That was the first trailer I've seen with narration in a long time . . . that wasn't for a movie with sara jessica parker.
My heart just skipped a beat. =)
The trailer voice guy fits in some trailers. This isn't one.
@Sogeman: Agreed. The voice sort of kills the trailer. Just needed him to say "IN A WORLD..."
