Trailer: Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World

So, the world's going to end in three weeks, but Keira Knightley wants to be your friend. That actually sounds like a pretty fair trade.

This seems like it could be a great combination of legitimately funny material about the apocalypse, most of it probably dark, but as well as genuine and heavy emotion. Thought provoking stuff, I hope. I also hope they don't cop out at the end, which I have a feeling that they won't. Oh, and that meeting where they're offering CFO and other jobs to the employees had me in stitches. Color me excited.

Chance of the world magically not ending at the end of the film: 100%

Chance of me not trying to kill fun when I see it: 0%

Looks good.

"Chance of the world magically not ending at the end of the film: 100%"

I would hope they'd go for an ambiguous ending where you don't see everyone die in a horrible and painful death. But they would be preferable to the world not ending.

No matter how silly in concept it may be I think it has a lot of promise and I am interested in seeing what it can do. I really like Steve C. so I will definitely be rooting for him in this. Keira is a nice addition too, if you like hipster style girls, which I do.

I like Steve Carrell and will see anything decent looking with him in it!

At first I thought "ugh another quirky, indie-like romantic comedy." But this actually looks alright.

Plus Britta!

@nofx4208: agreed!

Thank god Keira Knightley not getting top billing.

Looks like it should be pretty great with all the people involved.

Steve Carrell is not looking very healthy here. He seems abnormally skinny

I wouldn't mind befriending Keira Knightley even if it meant the end of the world.

Also, it looks like a pretty decent movie. Keira Knightley looks surprisingly French.

Is this the light version of Melancholia?

ArmedBearon Feb. 13, 2012 at 11:14 a.m.

Britta is going to Britta the end of the world.

^ This chaps streets ahead.

More end of the world movies. It's a theme this year, I guess.

The Patton Oswalt bit sort of reminds me of the friend in Last Night. I wonder how similar this movie will end up being.

Interesting film, well worth a look I guess.
