Anyone else geeking out about this a bit? 40 hours of new material and previously unreleased cut footage should be interesting, at least.

One of the most successful and popular movies ever made, Star Wars tells the story of a band of rebels trying to stop an evil Empire's super-weapon called the Death Star.

I may have to pick this up, if it includes the non-CGI altered versions of the original three (which I think it does not).
Wow.
How long do I have to wait until I get to see Han Solo shoot first in HD?? How long George!?
Putting Jake Lloyd on the cover seems like an insult. Then again I don't consider the prequels canon.
I don't have the series on Blu-Ray yet (only on DVD and VHS). I do believe I'll be picking this up.
@sirdesmond: I think it'd be cool to have the option of choosing altered or unaltered.

Yeah, I don't think George Lucas is ever going to re-release the un-altered versions of the original trilogy. He's said that he honestly believes the new versions are better and he's never going back.
Are these the special editions? If so ... meh.
However, if they toss Empire of Dreams in there I may consider it.

Yep, apparently you can't "own every moment" just yet. I wan't Hayden Christensen scrubbed from my copy of Jedi and Yub Nub put in its place. Well, maybe as an alternate ending =D

Yeah, I really just want the original 3. No goddamn edited special editions. But George has said we won't ever see those original editions ever again.
Finally, been waiting for the complete sage for a while ;))
No original cuts and inclusion of 3 films I'd like to forget I ever saw? PASS.
I'm not interested in this at all; I'm Star War'd out. The prequels will probably look great in Blu-Ray, but I didn't like any of them enough to pay for them. The original trilogy is awesome, but I can't say that the Blu-Ray will make the picture quality so amazing that it's worth paying for them again (for the fourth f'ing time).
Also, I'd like to know what "cut" footage is being shown here. If it's a lot of prequel trilogy stuff, how good can anything that was cut from the final footage be?
He said that when they released them on DVD a while back... and then two years later they were put on disc two of a new set (granted they were not all spiffified transfers, but they were a a hell of a lot better than the burned DVDs I had made from my VHS box set)... So... you never know...
Wait till sales have dropped off and then see what happens...
As it stands now, I'm not getting this set.

Just FYI, they are actually releasing two other packs at the same time that have just the first and second trilogy separately. They just aren't really advertising that fact so much.
