The cop's the killer. I mean, c'mon, that has to be the twist, right?

Oh snap! This looks fantastic!
An entire trailer for a movie called The Raven with Edgar Allen Poe, and the words "never more" aren't uttered once. I'm speechless. :)
Wait- isn't this just Castle?
This could have been a much better trailer if they had kept it to about the first minute the 2nd half just seemed to me like they wanted to make a good slow paced crime drama thriller but instead ended up making it half action movie and it kind of turned me off. The first half was still good enough to keep me interested though and as a huge fan of the works of Poe I do hope this turns out well especially can't wait to see if that ballroom scene turns into The Masque of the Red Death on of my favorites. I'd also love to see The Falling House of Usher involved in some how but sadly it doesn't seem to fit the movie all that well but here's hoping.
It seems to be missing 100% of Poe's opium addiction and massive depression.
Seems like a poor mans Sherlock Holmes except its all "reality based". Wow no "Never More" almost glad they didn't go for that one.
The Twist is that the one they suspect is the perpetrator? Actually, in today's films, that would be a twist. How twisty.

Seriously. That took some restraint.
1800's Saw.
Sleepy Hollow meets Sherlock Holmes meets V for Vendetta... and it actually looks pretty good.
Has anyone seen the episode of Masters of Horror based on The Black Cat? Probably one of my favorite episodes. That one just as this is a meta story around the story it was based on.
Not to be "that guy," but Poe died in 1849, so either the description is wrong, or this movie is going to be utter shit.
Or both, I suppose.

Its weird that I am totally cool with that, and Cusack!
It's Castle but with a serious bloodlust! Second half of the trailer ruined all of the hard work put in the first half, but still, interesting.
Yeah, I think I'll give it a shot.
I like John Cusack, I'm in.
that ominous fucking bird of yore
Lenore did it.

You beat me to it. And as far as I'm concerned, the world needs to hear more often from "that guy." How else is everyone going to know how frequently they are wrong?
This trailer is familiar to me.
