  • The Genesis of this film came about as a G.I Joe movie, however due to the the Iraq war it was thought that such a movie would be inappropriate. Thus it was decided to work with another Mattel property instead.

  • Sam's eBay name LadiesMan217 refers to Michael Bay's birthday: February 17th. The eBay name was an actual user name with last activity at the same date the movie was released.
