Overview

Ultimate Muscle is a Japanese TV Show that had poor ratings in Japan, but was more famous in America. The show is about protagonist and hero, Kid Muscle, the son of the Legendary Wrestling superhero King Muscle. Kid Muscle is the 59th prince of Muscle Planet a.k.a. Planet Kinniku, and is next in line to become king of Planet Kinniku once his father, King Muscle, dies or retires. However, Kid Muscle rather hide in his fathers mighty shadow and not be the greatest wrestler-hero in the Universe. Before Kid was born, King Muscle led the Muscle League, or Legends as they are called now, to fight the greatest evil in the universe. The dMp! When the dMp was beaten by heroes of the Muscle League, the wrestlers had finally placed peace in the universe and went back to their homes to raise their children to be the next wrestling sensation.

However, evil found a way to come back and with the legends old, and some overweight, a new team was needed to combat the evil dMp once again. While Kid was just born after the events of King Muscle's triumph, he began to train his young son in the ways of wrestling and nobility. Kid Muscle is somewhat comedic and usually runs when trouble comes. But when the time comes, he becomes the greatest wrestler of all times and the power of Ultimate Muscle flows within his body and cowardly Kid Muscle doesn't exist, only the strong independent Kid Muscle exist. And he will protect his friends and family with his life! This show only lasted two seasons in America, and only one season in Japan. The second season is exclusive only to the United States of America since people adored Ultimate Muscle in America more than the people of Japan,

Characters

Ultimate Muscle consist of a group of many New Generation and Old Generation wrestlers. The new generation consist of Kid Muscle, Terry Kanyon, Dik Dik Van Dik, Jeager, Kevin Mask, Wally Tusket, Checkmate and more, but only mentioning popular main characters in the series. The old generation, or Legends have King Muscle, Terryman Kanyon, Brocken Jr., Robin Mask, Ninja Ned, Shivano, General Muscle, Starface, Blackhole and more.

Kid Muscle is the heir to the Muscle Planet thrown, going to become the 53rd king of the planet with his father being number 52. He has inherited the duty of protecting the universe, or galaxy (not specified) from the evil dMp; which has terrorized the universe since the first group of Muscle Leaguers. While Kid isn't the most bright, or has the most courage, when he gets pumped up with enough fight and ultimate muscle, he becomes unbeatable! Kid has won every single match he has been in. Terry Kanyon is the son of Terryman; the only non-powered hero in Ultimate Muscle. Terry tries to outgrow is father's shadow and make the Kanyon name worth something, he is the best friend of Kid Muscle. Jeager is the son of Brocken Jr., Brocken gave his son to a family at a very young age because Brocken was dealing with problems in the muscle league. Years later, Jeager found out that his father was the great Russian wrestler Brocken Jr.

Character Relationships

As portrayed throughout the entire series, mostly all of the new generation, old generation and even the dMp have a family relationship. King Muscle is the father of Kid Muscle, his only son, and is married to Maria; a human from Earth. Kid is a hybrid of both a kinikuman and a human, making him the first of his kind. The only one that Kid has a romantic relationship with is, Roxanne, whom is the daughter of King Muscle's old flame Sarah. Sarah missed her chance to be the bride of King Muscle, however she does share a relationship with Meat; the close family friend. Meat was the trainer of King Muscle when he was young and is one of the most smartest people on the planet, his father was Mitch who sold him to the Muscle Family when King's father, Grandpa Muscle, was ruler of the planet. Although Meat is around the same age as King Muscle, he cryogenetically froze himself so that he wouldn't age, this being that he was frozen for 23 years and is now the mentor of Kid Muscle.

While most of the characters have good standing family bond with one another, Kevin Mask is a prime example of a member of a shunned away family. Kevin was born in England and is the son of Robin Mask. Robin was an ex-dMp who saw the error of his ways and became one of the founding members of the 52nd muscle league corporation, along with many other ex-dMp members. Robin treated his son as a soldier and made him work hard so that one day, Kevin would lead the muscle league along side Kid Muscle. But instead Kevin joined the newly formed dMp, probably only to seek attention from his father. Along with the mysterious Lord Flash (who was founded to be Warsman, a member of King Muscle's, Muscle League), Flash was guiding Kevin all along to make sure that he stays on the side of good and not evil. In the final battle to see who is the "true hero of the universe" Lord Flash trained Kevin to make sure that Kid Muscle looses for sure. However, in the end Kevin lost to Kid and Lord Flash work was done from there.

Roxxane has a on/off relationship with Kid. She likes Kid Muscle, but doesn't openly want to confess her love to him. She has a dog named "kid", both Kid Muscle's mother and father approve of Roxanne being the future Mrs. Muscle in the family. King wants grandchildren as he is old and wants to expand his family, while Kid is just a drooling fool in love with Roxanne. One of the most evil relationships in the show is the father and son relationship between Bone Cold and his father Skullduggery.

Bone Cold grew up on Skull Planet as the son of infamous wrestler Skullduggery. Like most villains of his time, Skullduggery was part of the dMp. Duggery had created some of the most infamous and banned moves in wrestling history, however he never won a match against King Muscle. Every time he lost his match, he would go home and beat Skullduggery badly. Simply child abuse. This made Bone Cold, cold towards his father and made him hate him. After the original dMp retired or joined the muscle league, Skullduggery left the dMp to find that his son had left to live a life of crime. Bone Cold was one of the gruesome threesome, along with Hanzo and Forkolouss. They were all captured and jailed in three different planets awaiting to try and beat Kid Muscle and freeze their lantern of ice. Bone Cold failed and became a prisoner once again, however the words of his father (when he re-appeared) did not shape the outcome of his stone cold killer son.

Plot Summary

Season 1

Season 1 is split into four arcs dMp arc, Generation X arc, The Gruesome Threesome Arc and the Poison Six-Pack arc. The first arc, dMp arc, was the beginning of the New Generation and introducing the new hero Kid Muscle. Kid in this first arc was reluctant to fill his father's shoes and only wanted to care to his studies and eat his favorite meal, Cow & Rice. When his mother forced him to become the next leader of the Muscle League, Kid tried to run and hide, but ended up finding the body of a young (and frozen) Meat. Meat was the trainer of King Muscle and froze himself after all of King's battles had been won, knowing that someone might need his skills. Kid's first challenge was a dMp member who called himself, Adversarius. Most of the dMp arc was introducing less than important, dMp members who wanted to live up to their mentors expectations and defeat Kid Muscle and his friends in the muscle league.

Season 2

Season two only has one arc which is called the Chojin Crown Arc, this is what all of the muscle league members have been waiting for their entire lives!
