Wampas are carnivorous predators native to the ice planet of Hoth. Most do not own combs or toothbrushes.
Wampas are some of the most vicious and brutal monsters found throughout the galaxy. Even Jedi sometimes find themselves overwhelmed by the strength of a hungry wampa.
In Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker along with the majority of the Rebel Alliance have hidden out on a remote and supposedly almost barren ice-planet of Hoth. Little did Luke know that as he went on a scouting mission and setting up sensors on the planet that he would be surprised and attacked by a wampa.
The wampa killed the tauntaun Skywalker was riding and dragged both of them back to its cave. The wampa froze Luke to the icy roof in order to keep him for a later meal while it feasted on the tauntaun's carcass. Luke was only knocked unconscious by the wampa's attack and wakes up in time to reach out with the force and recover his nearby lightsaber. Skywalker is able to defend himself, cutting off the wampa's arm, and run out into a blizzard before being found by his friend Han Solo.
Wampas also attacked Ech Base directly, killing some of the Rebel troops before being cordoned off from the rest of the base. When the Empire found and began the attack on Echo Base, C-3PO purposefully let some of those wampas inside the base to help attack the Imperial troops entering the base.
Wampa's are killing machines though usually only go after the native wildlife of Hoth like tauntauns. A wampa is about 6 feet tall and covered in white fur to both keep itself warm and camouflage itself in the snow and ice of the planet. Wampa's are incredibly vicious even attacking its prey when it isn't hungry but with the cold and ice of its cave is able to keep the dead flesh fresh for later meals.
