In a not to distant future capitalism has taken control. Everything, including our nations wars, has been outsourced to the private sector.
The movie starts off with us meeting troubled lead Hauser (John Cusack) in Nunavut Canada. He has been sent there on a job to kill some locals. Once this is finished he boards his plane and you get your first glimpse at the privatization of war as he is given his next job by the corporation Tamerlane.
Fast forward to the fictional county of Turaqistan where a private corporation, run by the former Vice Present (Dan Aykroyd), has taken over and is running a US branded trade show. Hauser is brought in to run the trade show as a front to assassinate a rival oil minister. He has to do all of this while ensuing that a wedding of a "Brittney Spears-eske" popstar named Yonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff). Of course to make things interesting there is also a news reporter (Marisa Tomei) that he falls for and tries to hide his dark past.
