Plot Overview
Ryan Newman was canned as a lawyer and was offered into a new job at a hospital by his sister, Kristen. However, he was unhappy with the offer and became suicidal. After a night of failed suicide attempts, Ryan answers the door to his new neighbor, Jenna and her dog, Wilfred. Ryan sees Wilfred as a man in a dog costume when everyone else sees him as a real dog and from there on, the duo create a rather questionable friendship as well as an amount of chaos to themselves and the other people around them.
Creation and Development
"Wilfred" is an American show based on the Australian show of the same name that was adapted from a short film. It aired on the network, SBS One for two seasons before an American adaptation surfaced. When the American version appeared, it premiered on the channel, FX in June 2011.
