William Wyler was an American filmmaker and producer. His most well known film is the 1959 remake of Ben-Hur. Wyler won the Oscar for Best Director three times, one for his direction of Ben-Hur. He also picked up the prize for Mrs. Miniver and The Best Years of Our Lives.
