Wire in the Blood

Wire in the blood, based on a series of novels by Val McDermid, is a crime drama with a difference. It is based around Dr Tony Hill, a lecturer at the local university and a clinical psychologist (who specialises in repeat violent offenders). Through his work he has come into contact with many serial killers, which prompts the local police to ask him for help catching a serial killer. Hill mainly works with DCI Carol Jordan, a single woman whom later on becomes a love interest for Hill.

Hill's methods are often seen as eccentric or unsettling. He can often be seen role playing in his apartment, playing the part of both him and the murderer. He lacks various social skills and is dyspraxic ( motor learning difficulty that can affect planning of movements and co-ordination) so he can often be hard to work with.
