Princess Diana of Themyscira is the daughter of immortal queen, Hippolyta. Before her birth the Amazon females were always seen with men. Most of the Amazons that are alive today are the daughters of a Amazonian and a man. While most Amazonians married men from Olympus, Hippolyta married the God of War, Ares. Ares was a greedy god who only lived because of his lust to feed off of the anger, hate, and carnage of a civilizations war. When he met Hippolyta he quickly fell for her and they wedded. However while the Queen's intent was for good, Ares lust for power made him only have an heir if he ever is slain by his family. Eventually, Ares led a war to take over Themyscira and place his son as the ruler of the Hippolyta's loyal amazon women. During this war, all of the men were slain and it was only the women whom had survived. Having been betrayed by her husband, Hippolyta had to destroy the son that she gave birth to which brought her no choice, but to remove the sons head. When the Amazons had won the war against Ares, Hippolyta was going to send Ares to the gates of Hades and let him burn for all of the pain and torment that he had brought to the Amazons. However, Zeus had other plans and told Hippolyta to saver his sons life. While Hippolyta was reluctant to keep Ares alive, Hera told Hippolyta that she would give the Amazons an island to hide away from Man's world.

Being a goddess, Hera made good on her promise and Ares stayed for 6,000 years in the jail of the Amazons. Constantly being watched, however his powers to feed off of others rage and hate were hindered by Zeus' powers. Wanting a child that was true to the Amazonian ways, Hippolyta made a daughter from the dust of the ground. To make her daughter come to life, Hippolyta gave a small drop of her own blood and prayed to Hera. Hera brought the child to life and thus Diana of Themyscira was born! Having matured into a nice young woman, Hippolyta wanted Diana to have training in the ways of war to protect her sisters and her homeland. When Man's world was having trouble with war, Diana knew it wasn't her place to remain her days on Themyscira, she disobeyed her mother to help Man's world and eventually became one of the protectors. Hippolyta eventually gave her daughter the blessing to stay in Man's world as a protector of the Peace. The world knows Diana of Themyscira as, Wonder Woman: The Protector of Peace!

Major Plots

The Wonder Woman show with Adrianne Palicki had a pilot filmed but was not picked up by NBC. In recent years, Wonder Woman has appeared in DC Animated's direct home video movies. Movies like, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and her own movie Wonder Woman. While her own movie wasn't a success, there has been talk of creating another Wonder Woman film to be based off of one of her comic books.

Wonder Woman's fame can be seen back in the early days of Television. Lynda Carter was the original Wonder Woman in the TV Show that was released in the 70's. That show had major part in the fame that Wonder Woman has today, Lynda Carter showed many females of that century that they didn't have to be pushed around by anyone. Females could be as strong and great as men no matter what. That was the entire reason why the show was created. In the early 2000's, Wonder Woman was seen with a team of superheroes that protected Earth and Space from threats of evil. Justice League and Justice League Unlimited had the voice talent of Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman in both shows.

Personality

Wonder Woman is one of the greatest symbols of hope, freedom, and trust in one's self in the entire Comic Book nation. She has the attitude of "if a man can do it, so can I" and is respected by comic book fans, girls and guys, who know that Wonder Woman's beliefs are correct. During her early creation days during War World 2, she had inspired thousands of women to join the fight against the Nazis which lead to a new revolution to begin. Women have been inspired by Wonder Woman's acts of heroism for 70 years. While her look has been changed many times to look more "sexual" her morals have remained the same. Wonder Woman is one of the greatest heroes in comic books and is known to be the only female in the Trinity team, which have main role models, Superman and Batman.
