The Screened Community's officially unofficial rough-transition-period film news supplement.

Disney Animated's upcoming film 'Wreck-It Ralph,' starring John C. Reilly as the titular Ralph, made an appearance at this year's CinemaCon.

The film, which is set in the world of video games, follows Ralph and his transformation from villain to hero. When the arcade that houses Ralph's Fix it Felix Jr. game closes, characters in all of the arcade's cabinets begin interacting.

The footage shown at this year's CinemaCom reveals that Disney has secured the rights to show some classic video game characters in the film.

Characters that were shown during the film's opening include the following:

Bowser - Super Mario Bros.

Doctor Eggman - Sonic the Hedgehog

Kano - Mortal Kombat

Ghost - Pac-Man

Zangief - Street Fighter

Coily the Snake - Q*Bert

It's likely more characters will be revealed closer to the film's release.

What do you guys think of the characters already revealed? Who would you like to see included?

This could be amazing. Although, I'd be way more excited if it was someone other than Disney making it. The theme seems like it could benefit from a little edge that the mouse just can't deliver. (especially if one of the cameos is from a lazer-eyed psychopathic murderer. if he doesn't rip Bowser's skeleton out of his mouth, I'm gonna ask for my money back.)

Here's a video of the fake game where Ralph is the enemy, from Disney's D23 fan expo last year. Definiteky not absolutely strict in their 8-bit styling, but I like it nonetheless.

(also... Eggman, really? I know they officially changed it, but Robotnik is an awesomely evil cartoony name. Eggman, is... not)

Bowser is one of my favorite characters (when he isn't kidnapping princesses) Based on what I have seen, I'm really not sure about this movie. So far it looks like it can be either really bad or really good.

Here's some footage I found
