One of the two major championship belts in World Wrestling Entertainment. The belt currently appears on the RAW brand.
The WWE Championship is one of two world titles within World Wrestling Entertainment. The championship was established in 1963 as the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship. After the WWE ended their affiliation with NWA, the title was renamed the WWF Championship. In 2001, the WWF Championship was unified with the WCW Championship to become the WWF (later WWE) Undisputed Championship. In 2002, the championship moved to SmackDown! during the brand extension.
The championship has since been renamed the WWE Championship and is now currently on RAW.
