Based on the X-Men comic books, the movie depicts the beginning of the relationship between Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, the formation of the X-Men and the secret history of the Cuban missile crisis.

Well this certainly looks awesome. Faith in the X-men movie franchise restored. Wait wheres the hell is the continuity? Is there two emma frosts? Cyclops' brother was on the team before him? Whatever, still psyched.
Also, they better get the BAMF right.
I still think the original promo shot looks like something from a B-list horror movie.
I just can't believe I was the first to make that joke...
This isn't following comic continuity, but apparently the continuity of the First 3 X-Men films. Angel joined in X3 and Iceman in X2, so obviously they aren't in it. And since the movie is set in the 60's, Cyclops probably was only young or maybe even not alive yet. I guess this Emma is different from Wolverine's Emma. Xavier is in University or College in this movie, so he wasn't wheelchair bound yet. :/ I hate how it's strayed from the comics, but I'm gonna watch this as a prequel to the X-Men films and not actually X-Men: First Class/
