The Hunger Games return with such a sequel twist that you can't believe writer Suzanne Collins didn't think of film when writing. Catching Fire builds up with all types of subversive messaging which is interesting but also brings into relief the limitations of the genre and film.
Sonny is an artist who hates his job, luck is on his side when he awakens the nine muses. Kira, one of the muses, falls in love with him where she helps him and Danny to achieve their dream of opening a club.
The title is a reference to the poem "Kubla Khan, or, A Vision in a Dream: A Fragment" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Specifically, the line "In Xanadu did Kubla Khan, a stately pleasure dome decree" which is referenced in the movie.
